Memory Walk 2017
On Saturday 23rd September 2017, eight members of our team, accompanied by Darla the Husky and Stella the Lurcher, set off from Shedfield Lodge on our Memory Walk to raise money for The Alzheimer's Society. We walked to Wickham Square where we were spurred on by members of the public and shop keepers, some of which had attended our Community Dementia Awareness sessions and were proudly displaying their window stickers in their shop windows. As we passed through the square, we were approached by passers by who wanted to donate to our cause!
We then followed the Meon Valley trail toward our halfway point, The Roebuck Inn, where nice cold drinks in the garden awaited us! After refuelling, we made our way back to the Lodge along the trail and across the fields which only a few weeks before had hosted the Wickham Festival. In all, we walked 12kilometres and are very pleased to say, that in total, we have raised £585 for the Alzheimer's Society. We are very proud of our team and wish to express our gratitude to everybody that donated, we are very grateful. We couldn't have done it without your terrific support!
