Community Dementia Awareness Update

After we put our proposal to the Wickham Chamber of Trade for a plan to help improve the dementia awareness of our community, the uptake has been incredible. We have already had responses from the Chair of the Committee, Louise Oram, who also runs the Sports Massage Therapists in Wickham, the Southern Cooperative, South Downs Funeral Services, The Village Bakery and Glen Belcher from Tom French & Associates.

We have started to schedule the first Dementia Awareness Training sessions and will keep everyone up to date with how these progress. The training we provide will be free and will enable participating businesses to display a window sticker in their premises to indicate that they are dementia aware.

As soon as the sessions start we will let you know how it is all going.
